About the art:
Although this painting represents a bit of a departure for me, from the realistic
to the fantastic, it is based on a personal experience. I once saw a white stallion
rearing on a highway embankment as I was driving through New York City.
The horse is meant to be in the shadows, but I took some artistic
license with the purple hue, in order to give the horse prominence, and
to carry the blues throughout the painting.
